  • What’s needed

    • Merkury Cam by Geeni app downloaded with active account and smart camera paired
    • Alexa app downloaded with active account

     

    Step 1  Open the Alexa app from your phone/tablet and log in and select the Discover Skills and Games option from the Activity list

    Step 2  In the upper right hand corner select the search icon and manually type Merkury Cam by Geeni and select it once you see it displayed

    Step 3  Select the app Merkury Cam by Geeni

    Step 4  Select Enable to Use button so that you can link the skill for your smart camera

    Step 5  On the Link Account screen you will be prompted to enter your credentials for your Merkury Cam by Geeni account. Once entered, select the Sign In button.

    Step 6  Select the Next button to discover your device on the screen once it shows that your account has successfully been linked.

    Step 7  Alexa will search for the device and then you will see the Your Smart Home Device screen where you can select the Merkury Cam by Geeni

    *If you have multiple devices to set up with Alexa, follow the on-screen prompts

    Step 8  You will now see the Merkury Cam by Geeni app linked under Your Skills section. If you would like to check your Live View status you can select the Merkury Cam by Geeni app

    Step 9    Under the Advanced Settings select the Manage Smart Home Devices link

    Step 10  Scroll down and select your device to see the Live View from your smart camera

    You’re all set!  You have now linked your smart camera to Alexa

  • Step 1   On the log in screen of the Merkury Cam by Geeni app, select the Forgot Password? link

    Step 2  Enter your email address that was created for the Merkury Cam by Geeni app.  Once you have entered your email address, select the Reset Password button.

    Step 3  Select on the Return to Sign in button and then go to your email inbox and open the Forgot Password email you received.  From here, select the link to change your password.

    Step 4  Enter a new password and confirm the password on the Reset Password screen and then select the Reset Password button

    Step 5  You will see a Congrats screen and then can return to the Merkury Cam by Geeni app to enter the new password that was just reset

  • Prior to creating a rule ensure you have downloaded the Merkury Cam by Geeni app, successfully created an account, and have your device paired and online.  

     

     

    Step 1   On the Home screen select the Rules button from the bottom menu

    Step 2  From the Rules screen, select the (+) icon in the top right corner

    Step 3  To use a preset rule select the card that reads “Record video and get notifications when

    motion is detected” from the Choose a Rule to Add screen. If you want to create your

    own rule, scroll down toStep 6

    Step 4  Read the “When” and “Then” cards on the New Rule Screen and select Save in the upper

    right corner

    Step 5  Now you should see the Name Your Rule screen where you can view/edit the default

    name of your rule.  Select the Save button in the upper right corner and now you will see

    the rule has been created.

    Step 6  If you would like to create a custom rule, select the Create your own rule from the

     bottom of the screen

    Step 7  Select the Add a trigger card to begin creating a new rule

    Step 8  Select your smart camera device on the When screen

    Step 9    Select the (>) icon on the Detects card

    Step 10  The option for Any motion or sound will be pre-checked. You can choose specific

     options if you like and then select Apply button to continue

    Step 11  Select the (>) icon on the Time card

    Step 12  The option for Anytime will be pre-checked. You can choose a specific

    range of time or specific days and then select Apply button to continue

    Step 13  Select Add an Action card to complete creating a new rule

    Step 14  Select your smart camera device on the Then screen

    Step 15  You can select one or both of the Record Video and Send Notification options

    and then select the Apply button

    Step 16  Verify your actions are correct and then select Done in the upper right corner on

    the Then screen

    Step 17  Once you return to the New Rule screen the last thing to do is double check your

    selections and then select the Save button in the top right corner

    Step 18  The default name is a description of the actions the camera will take.  To personalize

    the name of your rule, tap at the end of the default name field and then backspace to

    remove. Type the new name and select Done in the upper right corner of the screen

    You’re all set!  Your rule has now been created for your camera!

  • Step 1  On the Home screen select Edit and the tiles will become editable with X’s in the upper

    corner and grab bars in the lower right

    Step 2  From here you are able to resize the tiles with the grab bar. Just press on the grab bar in

    the bottom right to enable the tile to be resized.  You can make it smaller or larger in size.

    You can also press and hold in the middle of the tile and move them around on the

    screen where you would like and then select Done in the top right corner

    You’re all set!  You can now customize your dashboard!

  • First method to delete a rule

    Step 1   On the Home screen select the Rules button from the bottom menu

    Step 2   Simply place your finger on the rule card you wish to delete and slide all the way to the

    left (you will see a trash can with red background)

    Second method to delete a rule

     

    Step 1  On the Home screen select the Rules button from the bottom menu

    Step 2   Select the rule card you wish to delete which will take you to the Edit Rule screen

    Step 3 Select the Delete Rule at the bottom of the screen

    Step 4  After you delete the rule you will need to select Yes to the pop-up message to

    re-confirm you want to delete the rule.

    You’re all set!  You will no longer see the rule you deleted!

  • Step 1   On the Home screen select the Rules button from the bottom menu

    Step 2  Tap on the Rule displayed to get to the Edit Rule Screen

    Step 3  Select the option in which you would like to modify (example here will be the trigger

    under When section)

    Step 4  Now select the trigger from the When screen to view all of the options that can be

    modified

    Step 5  Select the option in which you would like to modify (example here is to change the

    detection for the trigger)

    Step 6  Now from the Detects screen, makes and then select Apply in the

    upper right corner

    Step 7   The Detects section now shows the changes made. Select Done in the upper right corner

    of the Trigger screen.

    Step 8    You should now see the change you made on the Rules screen! Trigger

    You’re all set!  You will now see the change you made on the Rules Screen!

  • Step 1   Once logged into the app, you can select the Account button from the bottom menu

    Step 2  Select the Account Information option

    Step 3  Select the Sign-In settings button under the Additional Settings section

    Step 4  Select the Change Password button to navigate to the Set New Password screen

    Step 5  To change the password you will have to enter the current password, a new password and then confirm that new password.

    Step 6  Once all the password information has been entered in all the fields, the Update button will be

    enabled.  Select the Update button to change the password.

    You’re all set!  Your password has been updated and ready to use!

  • Step 1   Download the Merkury Cam by Geeni app from the App Store or Google Play.

               Apple

    Step 2   Select the Create Account option in your Merkury Cam by Geeni app.

    Step 3  Fill in the fields and then select Create account.

    During Account creation enter an active email address to receive the verification code to validate your account.

    Step 4  Go to your email inbox to retrieve the verification code received

    Step 5  Enter the 6 digit verification code that was received by email

    Step 6  Select Continue on Account activated screen in the app

    Step 7  Select the Okay button to allow notification

    Step 8  Select Allow when prompted to complete the activation process

    You’re all set!  Your account is now activated and ready to add a device!

  • What’s needed

    • Know your Wi-Fi network and password
    • Make sure your mobile device is running iOS® 14 or higher or Android™ 11 or higher
    • Make sure you’re connecting to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (Merkury Cam by Geeni cannot connect to 5GHz networks)

     

     

    Prior to beginning the pairing process, ensure you have downloaded the Merkury Cam by Geeni app and successfully created an account. If so, you are ready to start the pairing process!

     

    Step 1   On the Home screen select the Devices button from bottom right to add your new device

    Step 2  From the Devices screen, select the (+) icon in the top right corner

    Step 3  Select Continue to pair your Smart Camera device

    Select Okay on the Get Ready to Pair screen and ensure you select Allow/Ok for pop-up’s related to Location and Bluetooth as these are mandatory to continue

    Step 4  Select Continue on the Power on the Device screen

    Step 5  On the Confirm Pairing Mode screen, select Ready to pair if the indicator

    light is flashing on your smart camera

    Step 6  Select your Wi-Fi network, enter the password and select continue

    Step 7   Hold your Smart Camera about 6in from your phone to scan the QR code. You will

    hear a tone on device. Once heard, select the I heard the sound button in the Merkury   Cam by Geeni app

    Step 8   Select Continue from the Device Paired screen

    Step 9     Name your Camera or select a preset name to be displayed on the Home Screen

    Step 10   Select Continue on the Congratulations! screen

    You’re all set!  Your smart camera is now paired!
